April in Estonia

It’s April! How?!

I landed in Estonia on December 19, 2011. It’s been almost 4 months here.

Life has been awesome. A lot of things happened.

Got my residence card. Time to look for a job now Though the SEO market here is empty, many people are very skeptical. I might just stick to making small business websites. KPOPSurf has been steadily growing. It only gets about 250 visits per day but the traffic doubled in a month. Hope to see more progress soon.

One thing that still gets me is the snow here. SNOW IN APRIL! WTH! Did not expect this at all. I hope it wont snow anymore… I felt the taste of spring and now looking forward to summer. I lived through the winter in Estonia, what’s under your belt?

Nujabes Spiritual State

DJ Nujabes, or Jun Seba (瀬場潤) is my favorite musician. He died in February 26, 2010 but left something amazing for the world to hear.
His last album, Spiritual State, was released in Japan yesterday – December 3, 2011.

The album features his best friend and my other favorite, Uyama Hiroto. The two are, in my opinion, the best combo in the history of music.

Anyways, the man is simply amazing and listening to this album makes me admire him even more.

It’s just too sad. He didn’t have to go so early.

Hipsters Will Be the Death of Me

I swear.

Hipsters need to chill out. Everything they spew out of their f’in mouths is full of absolute, meaningless shit.

Some examples of hipster bullshit:

“Life is nothing, but it’s everything.”
My response: Wtf? Shut the fuck up.

“Writing frees my mind and soul and it’s the only way to express how I truly feel.”
My response: Yeah, creative writing is cool, but your writing sucks and life doesn’t suck OR is as beautiful as much as you think it is.

And another one of those everything/nothing quotes:
“YOU KNOW YOU HAVE EVERYTHING
WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE.”
My response: WHAT? How the fuck does that make sense? Don’t pull some Socrates bullshit on me because you are no Socrates. If anything, you are the furthest thing away from it. Ignorant hipsters, man.
A better quote would be, “YOU KNOW YOU HAVE EVERYTHING WHEN YOU HAVE EVERYTHING TO LOSE.” For one, it makes sense. Two, it’s realistic. Three, it fucking makes sense.

You see, hipsters pull this kind of shit all the time. They say shit that make absolutely no sense and have zero value and try to turn it into something more meaningful. By more meaningful, I mean it’s not actually any more meaningful but means EVERYTHING to them. So yeah, I guess this is one of those situations where NOTHING is EVERYTHING. Turning bullshit into more bullshit. You got it, hipsters. You’ve figured out the meaning of life.

I guess that’s the rant of the day. At least, this is what one Korean guy thinks… I wonder what the rest of the world thinks of these hipsters.

Today was one of the better days of 2010

…no, my life. There was so much joy, so much happiness (yeah, same definition LOL).

The ride to Josephine’s house was extremely grueling (4 hour ride due to snow + traffic) but in the end, it was all worth it. Mainly because I didn’t drive .

Seeing everyone there was great, and the food there was also good. Finished the day with Neil’s Strawberry + Oreo icecream cake and went to Bernie’s and tried her champorado (Filipino dish; chocolate rice). I wasn’t used to the taste, but it was bearable .

Sam got me a card and a gift, even though I wasn’t her secret santa or whatever. It was nice of her, and the card hold far more value to me than the Hello Kitty hand mirror.

Bernie got me the wrong size notebook, but it’s okay. I’ll use it to write important stuff in. Plus it’s the thought that counts. I told her to write me a little note inside the notebook (so it would hold more personal value).

All in all, the day was a success. 10/28/2010.

Life Update (Part Two) 10/18/2010

No pictures today, just words.

After my one month and week trip to Las Vegas in my best friend’s condominium (which was a lot of fun in itself), I’m back in my town. Yeah, I landed on the sixth (almost two weeks ago), but I haven’t blogged for a reason: I was simply too busy partying. You might ask, “but haven’t you partied enough in LAS VEGAS?” and that, ladies and gentlemen, is something I cannot answer… let’s all remember, “whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”

Okay okay, I’ll paraphrase: McDonald’s everyday (literally), chilling with 2 cool younger friends the first two days/nights including karaoke, hotel walkabouts, casino walkabouts, lots of “WHOA” moments, drunk people, people traffic, dry, hot, work on websites like Specialty Car Insurance to start making some money, A.V.A. (mmofps), and spending every day in Las Vegas with Omer and Erhan (watching shows, eating ramen, soup, diluted Arnold Palmer/Iced Tea everyday).

Now, back to the present. Yeah, the first week back was a blur, but I’m sure there was a ton of fun… lots of illegal stuff going on. WEED. LOL.
Even now, I try to have fun everyday before my due date (moving back to Korea, remember?). I really wonder if anyone actually reads my blog because I DO get a little traffic, but no one bothers to leave a comment Yeah, kinda demoralizing to always talk to yourself.

So I’m catching up with my best friends and friends – high school classmates and whatnot mostly. Just living my life ’til I gotta go. Can’t believe d-day is coming so soon. Life hit me hard. Crit.

HyunA’s [hair] CHANGE

Today’s blog is about one of my favorite entertainers (I call her an entertainer because she entertains), HyunA. Besides the fact that she has a part of my name (HYUN) in her name, she’s really hot (Korean guys love her).

She CHANGED her hair from blond to.. dark/light brown?

Yeah. Terrible pun, I know. (For those who didn’t get the pun, Hyuna has a single out titled, “Change.”)

The series of pictures were uploaded by HyunA herself via a self-camera or selca (Korean acronym). She commented, “Selfish Me……♥” along with the pictures. Netizens responded with, “if blond hair was sexy, brown/black is cute,” “the color of her hair is pretty and the wave(curl) is also pretty.” Also note that she has little to no make-up on in the pictures.

Now, she’s really hot because she can dance her ass off AND appearance wise, she’s hot. Oh and did I mention she has a ton of aegyo (Korean word for: acting cute, charming, basically cute overload)? Though her nickname is “Jing Jing HyunA” (translation being “Whiny HyunA” because she whines.. but us viewers see it as cute because she throws in a lot of cuteness.) She’s currently in a five person girl group called 4Minute.
