I’m Finally Back On Track

So, I’ve been telling people that I “freelance” for Google. It’s 100% true. But I haven’t been working as much lately (by lately I mean for the past half year) because I’ve just been a bum and getting the very minimal amount of money from Google.

Something’s changed, though. I feel like I should work more, I feel like I need to make more money. It could be the fact that I noticed that my parents work their asses off just to put food in my mouth and put a roof over my head. It could be the fact that I’m going back to Korea and will be in the army for 2 years and wont be making any money during the 2 years AND through the second half of a 4 year college. It could be the fact that I can’t afford to take girls out on dates anymore. It could be the fact that I feel like a lazy piece of shit sitting in front of my computer everyday feeling arrogant because I make money from Google.

It could be anything.

I just need to start working now. I need to get back on track, I need to make money for myself now and for the future.

My goal is $50 per day. I just need to hit that mark and I will be making that for the rest of my life. That will suffice. I promise everyone in my life I will get there.

Woot Bag of Crap Game

Today’s been good up until I got home…
Woot.com finally decided to do a Bag of Crap event (and I finally caught it for the first time in many years!) so I was all hyped up about it.
The concept of the game is pretty simple: you have two lanes – you can move up or down while dodging obstacles (while shooting bag of crap at random houses and shit), but the game takes a drastic and unfortunate turn which has led many loyal customers into absolutely despising Woot.

Although the concept of the game is simple, it’s made poorly. Something with the coding or something; there’d be an obstacle on both lanes and that would get you killed. Then you have to start ALL over for you to buy the bag of crap. The hell is this nonsense? I spent an hour and half trying to play this dumb game while getting fucked over EVERY TIME. Screw Woot. Screw this April Fool’s event. This game is a total disaster and I hate Woot because of this.

It’s not worth it. Some lucky ones got through, but MANY were left out… including myself. Call me bitter but I’m boycotting Woot.

Hipsters Will Be the Death of Me

Hipsters need to chill out. Everything they spew out of their f’in mouths is full of absolute, meaningless shit.

Some examples of hipster bullshit:

“Life is nothing, but it’s everything.”
My response: Wtf? Shut the fuck up.

“Writing frees my mind and soul and it’s the only way to express how I truly feel.”
My response: Yeah, creative writing is cool, but your writing sucks and life doesn’t suck OR is as beautiful as much as you think it is.

And another one of those everything/nothing quotes:
“YOU KNOW YOU HAVE EVERYTHING
WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE.”
My response: WHAT? How the fuck does that make sense? Don’t pull some Socrates bullshit on me because you are no Socrates. If anything, you are the furthest thing away from it. Ignorant hipsters, man.
A better quote would be, “YOU KNOW YOU HAVE EVERYTHING WHEN YOU HAVE EVERYTHING TO LOSE.” For one, it makes sense. Two, it’s realistic. Three, it fucking makes sense.

You see, hipsters pull this kind of shit all the time. They say shit that make absolutely no sense and have zero value and try to turn it into something more meaningful. By more meaningful, I mean it’s not actually any more meaningful but means EVERYTHING to them. So yeah, I guess this is one of those situations where NOTHING is EVERYTHING. Turning bullshit into more bullshit. You got it, hipsters. You’ve figured out the meaning of life.

I guess that’s the rant of the day. At least, this is what one Korean guy thinks… I wonder what the rest of the world thinks of these hipsters.

First Post of 2011

Man, I keep forgetting to blog… I plan on keeping this site going for a while and I should really update it more often.

Anyways, I’ve been watching this show called “Boardwalk Empire.” It recently won 2 Golden Globes; one for Best Television Series – Drama. I like drama.
If you like drama, politics, gangsters, or Nucky Thompson, the undisputed ruler of Atlantic City, you should do yourself a favor and watch the series as soon as possible.

Another thing I’ve been burying myself with is HoN, or Heroes of Newerth. It’s a revamped, standalone version of DotA (AoS custom map in Warcraft 3:TFT) created by S2 Gaming. It’s pretty fun and only $30. They constantly update the game; adding new heroes, custom skins and items and they have lots of promotions and events as well. I must warn you though, it has a very steep learning curve. It’s very similar to DotA and I remember when I first started playing DotA, I effing HATED that game. I kept playing and playing, learned and memorized all the items and heroes and this is where I stand today. Waiting for DotA 2 on Steam.

I’m looking forward to this year. January is almost over already, that’s 1/12th of an entire year! We’re almost 1/12th way through with this NEW year! Jeez, time really does fly as you get older. Life never ceases to amaze me.

So. New Years resolutions. There’s really one thing I really need to do for this year – work my ass off and make money.

Anyways, that’s my lame update keep your eyes peeled for another One Korean guy update .

Today was one of the better days of 2010

…no, my life. There was so much joy, so much happiness (yeah, same definition LOL).

The ride to Josephine’s house was extremely grueling (4 hour ride due to snow + traffic) but in the end, it was all worth it. Mainly because I didn’t drive .

Seeing everyone there was great, and the food there was also good. Finished the day with Neil’s Strawberry + Oreo icecream cake and went to Bernie’s and tried her champorado (Filipino dish; chocolate rice). I wasn’t used to the taste, but it was bearable .

Sam got me a card and a gift, even though I wasn’t her secret santa or whatever. It was nice of her, and the card hold far more value to me than the Hello Kitty hand mirror.

Bernie got me the wrong size notebook, but it’s okay. I’ll use it to write important stuff in. Plus it’s the thought that counts. I told her to write me a little note inside the notebook (so it would hold more personal value).

All in all, the day was a success. 10/28/2010.
