Life Update (Part Two) 10/18/2010

No pictures today, just words.

After my one month and week trip to Las Vegas in my best friend’s condominium (which was a lot of fun in itself), I’m back in my town. Yeah, I landed on the sixth (almost two weeks ago), but I haven’t blogged for a reason: I was simply too busy partying. You might ask, “but haven’t you partied enough in LAS VEGAS?” and that, ladies and gentlemen, is something I cannot answer… let’s all remember, “whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”

Okay okay, I’ll paraphrase: McDonald’s everyday (literally), chilling with 2 cool younger friends the first two days/nights including karaoke, hotel walkabouts, casino walkabouts, lots of “WHOA” moments, drunk people, people traffic, dry, hot, work on websites like Specialty Car Insurance to start making some money, A.V.A. (mmofps), and spending every day in Las Vegas with Omer and Erhan (watching shows, eating ramen, soup, diluted Arnold Palmer/Iced Tea everyday).

Now, back to the present. Yeah, the first week back was a blur, but I’m sure there was a ton of fun… lots of illegal stuff going on. WEED. LOL.
Even now, I try to have fun everyday before my due date (moving back to Korea, remember?). I really wonder if anyone actually reads my blog because I DO get a little traffic, but no one bothers to leave a comment Yeah, kinda demoralizing to always talk to yourself.

So I’m catching up with my best friends and friends – high school classmates and whatnot mostly. Just living my life ’til I gotta go. Can’t believe d-day is coming so soon. Life hit me hard. Crit.

Haru: An Unforgettable Day in Korea

Haru (literally translates to “one day”): An Unforgettable Day in Korea is a short interactive film made to promote Korea around the World. Their website offers three subtitles; English, Chinese and Japanese. The short interactive film also has a special feature where you get to click on an “action” during many scenes and sort of “bookmark” it. You can go over all of your actions at the end of the film. These “actions” are actually something you can do when you’re in Korea. For example, you can click on an action during a romantic train ride – as it is possible to go on one in Korea.

All of the actors and actresses are ACTually celebrities of Korea. To name a couple: Big Bang, UKnow YunHo, Han Chae Young, Kim Bum, Lee Da Hae and Park Si Hoo.

New Discovery #1: AL Radio

AL Radio, or AsianLoad Radio is something I stumbled upon recently.
I’ve been using AsianLoad forums for music and stuff, but never really looked into the forums nor have I been active (yep, I’m a leech!), but I somehow came across the web radio section and started tuning in.

I guess I tuned in at the right time, a LIVE DJ was on! And he was talking about requests and stuff, so I decided to dig a little further and wanted to find out how I could make a request. Simple enough, they have their own IRC channel/chatroom (link here) and the small yet warm community felt very friendly and I felt welcomed in no time.

It’s only my second day with this small community, but I don’t feel out of place at all. Sure, I don’t know all of their names… or ANY names besides another HYUN in the chatroom (my name is Hyun, so the only time I feel awkward is when people refer to this other Hyun as “Hyun.”). Shout out to Kimchee Wang Noonim (already got a nickname from me), Dien (playlist DJ and melon lover) and DJ Peter Lo!

JoKwon’s Face in Nichkhun’s Crotch

I lol’d on this part while watching this week’s (9/18/2010) episode of We Got Married.

I’d upload a video and/or make a .gif file out of this but I know for a fact YouTube will take the video file down and .gif files take too much work :3

So the story is, all the couples are playing a game of balance. Each person goes in the red circle and has to balance himself without touching anything while the bus is moving. The person wearing the yellow shirt is Jo Kwon and Nichkhun is the blond. Obviously, Jo Kwon fell the wrong way… unless this was intentional
