World’s Most Expensive Home

The world’s first billion-dollar home, and the most expensive home in the world.

Nita Ambani was enjoying her rich life in New York, as a tourist. She was interested in the interior of the spa she was at, and that began a chain of events which eventually led to the building of the world’s first billion-dollar home. Her husband is Mukesh Ambani, the current #7 richest person in the world (5th at the time).

Quoting from Forbes, the building is a “27-story skyscraper in downtown Mumbai with a cost nearing $2 billion” and that “no two floors are alike in either plans or materials used.” (Wood on one floor, metal on the other, etc.. are there even enough materials for this?)

Can you imagine? Your home being a 27-story building. TWO BILLION DOLLARS. IN MUMBAI (Though I’d rather have it in a U.S. city… can’t imagine how much more it would’ve cost if they planned on building it in the U.S.). They even named the building, and it goes by “Antilla.”

The Antilla starts off with a 6-floor parking lot which make up the base of the building. The lobby contains NINE elevators and “down dual stairways with silver-covered railings is a large ballroom with 80% of its ceiling covered in crystal chandeliers.” The building also has a health level, a movie theater, lounges, storage floors, etc, and a helipad to top it all off. If I were to live there, I would be one happy Korean guy… as long as I don’t get raped by property tax.

Well, you’ve been waiting for it, this is what the building looks like (and all credits go to Forbes):

It's awesome.

It's awesome.
